At Snap Agency, we’re passionate about connecting our clients with outstanding digital growth solutions. Over the past eight years, we’ve acquired a number of digital marketing agencies to expand our reach and expertise, which taught us a great deal about the process of selling and buying them. So today, we’ll be giving you a basic course on the best way to sell your digital marketing agency.

While we’re here, let me elaborate a bit on SEO. When executed consistently and appropriately, SEO practices improve the SERP rankings of your website; if you conduct rigorous keyword research and publish great content that is relevant to whatever keywords people are searching, your website will perform better in the organic results. As Google continues to tweak the algorithms that determine the relative importance of different ranking criteria, SEO best practices change, too. Stay up to date with the WordStream blog to learn how you can maintain high organic traffic.

" I am very pleased with the work that [Forthea] is doing for us. I see the progress we are making through inquires via phone calls and our estimate request page. Also, the commercial opportunities are making a difference. On a conference call with our managers yesterday, I made a compelling case on why we should--unequivocally--increase our spend with Forthea because SEO is producing opportunities at an ROI better than our other lead sources. I had total buy in once I produced the data yesterday. Thank you, Chris, and thank you to your team."

Model your social ads after your best paid search ads. In the same sense that Quality Score determines AdWords placement, Relevance Score controls Facebook ad placement. It stands to reason that ad copy that performs well on Google SERPs will do well on social, too. Plus, using similar messaging across platforms improves the cohesiveness and visibility of your brand presence.

By offering inbound services you can guarantee that your leads are tracked through to sales.
Who is looking for what topics? How does it vary with geography and size of company? What are the top surging marketing keywords at smaller marketing and advertising businesses? Was there any correlation between that and the keywords used by large enterprises? These were the questions we set ourselves for the 2nd QuickTech Infographic, after the very popular debut, where we explored what companies were driving the growth of Marketing Automation.
Today, most business purchasers looking to buy a product or service start the process by using a search engine to find vendors and product information. How can you make sure that your business is found when these people are looking for you or your competitors? You need to make sure you rank high in the search engine results, for as many search terms as possible, and hopefully for many of the terms that are searched for more frequently. The first step toward ranking high in the results for the most common terms that people search for is to have the right keywords as part of your online presence.

Direct marketing companies help you plan and manage direct mail campaigns. They can provide with you mailing lists that match your target market. They design and write direct mail letters or develop creative mailing items. Direct marketing companies also handle the tasks of mailing the items on your behalf and measuring the response to the campaign.
At HubSpot, we’ve built our marketing team from two business school graduates working from a coffee table to a powerhouse of over 200 employees. Along the way, we’ve learned countless lessons that’ve shaped our current content marketing strategy, so we decided to illustrate our insights in a blog post to teach marketers how to develop a successful content marketing strategy, regardless of their team’s size.
For example, if one of your goals is to provide five free initial consultations within three months, your promotional plan may include focusing on targeted leads through a cold calling campaign, a social media outreach plan, and a direct mail campaign. You can get some idea on specific activities by browsing lists of 101 small business marketing ideas.
We at Moz custom-built the Keyword Explorer tool from the ground up to help streamline and improve how you discover and prioritize keywords. Keyword Explorer provides accurate monthly search volume data, an idea of how difficult it will be to rank for your keyword, estimated click-through rate, and a score representing your potential to rank. It also suggests related keywords for you to research. Because it cuts out a great deal of manual work and is free to try, we recommend starting there.
Firms that are successful in marketing invariably start with a marketing plan. Large companies have plans with hundreds of pages; small companies can get by with a half-dozen sheets. Put your marketing plan in a three-ring binder. Refer to it at least quarterly, but better yet monthly. Leave a tab for putting in monthly reports on sales/manufacturing; this will allow you to track performance as you follow the plan.

People are searching the web right now for a company like yours. Will they find YOU or one of your competitors? Over 100 companies rely on Blue Corona to help them generate more website traffic, leads, and sales. Visit the links above to learn more about the individual services we provide or contact our internet marketing company today and let us show you what we can do for YOU! Your website should be your number one sales and marketing tool. How does your website measure up?
After all the heavy lifting is complete, your strategy is in place and you have begun pulling together and implementing your tactical plans, it’s time to measure. In fact, even before you have implemented your strategy you should be measuring to establish your baseline. What have you done in the past and what were the results? How can those strategies shift to improve ROI? Measurement should be done before, during and after — throughout the year, on a monthly or even weekly basis — to ensure your plans are showing positive results and to shift them if they’re not.
The final section of your plan includes a brief breakdown of the costs associated with each of your tactics. So if you plan to exhibit at three trade shows per year, for example, you'll include the costs to participate in the shows and prepare your booth and marketing materials. If you find the tactics you've selected are too costly, you can go back and make revisions before you arrive at a final budget.

With an enviable practice environment filled with luxurious elements, Dr. Ridha wanted a website that was, itself, a luxurious environment. Without the right keywords, your SEO Marketing Campaign will go the wrong way. This guide to the kinds of keywords you can optimize is aimed to help you determine which keywords you need to include in your SEO marketing campaign to set your SEO plans in the right direction. For the first of this per-lesson tutorial, I’d be tackling Market Defining Keywords.

"Most people don't believe a five star review or think it originated most likely by the friends or family of the business being reviewed, but I give a five star review to Marketing1on1 for SEO services without reservation or hesitation. The reason is simple: results. Marketing1on1 is the fourth small business SEO firm I've used over the course of five years. The others provided mixed results and one was even a con artist, IMO. Marketing1on1 staff have proven over a variety of circumstances that not only do their high-powered backlink combos work but they are safe and applied in such a nuanced and careful manner as to comport with Google's potentially bad temper."
How do you figure out what keywords your competitors are ranking for, you ask? Aside from manually searching for keywords in an incognito browser and seeing what positions your competitors are in, SEMrush allows you to run a number of free reports that show you the top keywords for the domain you enter. This is a quick way to get a sense of the types of terms your competitors are ranking for.
Marketing has changed more in the past 10 years than it had in the previous 100—launching us out of the age of TV spots and print ads and into the age of websites, online video, social media, and Google. Consumers today are connected to the web 24/7—U.S. adults now spend upwards of 6 hours per day consuming digital media, and that doesn’t count those whose jobs are internet-dependent.

Content is all of the written words used to convey your brand, from the copy on your site to the landing page users arrive at, to the blog posts, newsletters and emails you write. But it’s not just having content that matters, it’s having quality content that is consistent. Content marketing is about providing useful information to your customer base. It’s not about selling but about informing.
There is a wide variety of ways to get your marketing message in front of your prospects, more than ever, in fact. You can go the traditional advertising route and stick ads in newspapers and on billboards, or you can try more modern and ever-evolving tactics like SEO and content marketing. Whatever route you head down, you need to figure out what channels you’ll be using in order to turn your audience into prospects and then into customers.

In order to use SEO affectively, you must optimize your content and when we say content we mean all your content – from your blogs to your landing pages to your social tags. In order to do this you need to create a keyword list, which will then allow you to create messaging around the words and phrase you are targeting. But SEO is much more than just targeting keywords. Link building, content and social media all play key roles in a successful SEO strategy.
You’ll own all your deliverables, including your website. Some cheap internet marketing companies offer “free” websites with their services, or offer websites hosted on their “proprietary platform.” These are red flags that indicate you’re about to be handcuffed into an unfavorable contract. With the ability to provide everything from strategy to logistics plus branding and cybersecurity, more and more companies are choosing to work with the multifaceted agency. Deloitte Digital is just scratching the surface of their capabilities, and the agency continues to buy talent recently acquiring San Francisco-based creative shop, Heat, and the Swedish agency Acne.

Absolute Digital Media provided performance marketing services to a travel firm. The main task on the project was SEO, which was performed using backlinking and optimized content strategy to boost site rankings. Absolute Digital provides monthly site performance audits, performance consulting and other solutions. The client's web presence has considerably increased.
A digital agency’s focus goes beyond just the aesthetics of design, but also considers the overall user experience on every digital platform, and regardless of what type of device is being used. From web development and UX/UI web design to SEO, social media and content marketing – and everything in between – a digital agency works to deliver a functional design that not only looks great, but also drives business growth.
Marketing companies can help your business develop a strategy, plan and manage campaigns or may provide specific services, such as telemarketing or market research. You can retain their services for a specific project or have them do work for you over a period of time. You also can hire individual consultants or freelancers with specialist marketing skills to plan and manage projects.
In an earlier example we considered a case where “inexpensive widgets” had 10 times the search volume of “high quality widgets.” Nevertheless, some widget makers would completely ignore the higher volume term in their keyword strategy because they do not want to be perceived as low price or cheap. In many cases this thinking is shortsighted. If a widget maker captures demand (i.e., attracts traffic) for the “inexpensive” keyword, it has captured a lead – one that can be sold on a high quality product. without the traffic, there are no opportunities to upsell.

When someone does a search on google, google displays results ranked in order of how relevant the web page is to the keywords used by the searcher. these are organic results – and the higher a page ranks, the more people click on it. So, if the widget maker can get its web page that talks about “inexpensive industrial widgets” moved up from page 10 of the search engine results to page one for searches on that term – those 100 visits a month might increase to 1,000 or more. the primary marketing discipline that focuses on improving organic search visibility is called search engine optimization, or SEO.
Every Houston business is different, so your web marketing strategy should be, too. There are no cookie-cutter strategies here! We'll work with you to figure out what your business would most benefit from, and build our strategy around that. Whether you just need an SEO campaign or a combination of multiple of the below, you'll fit with us here at Thrive.
At the top end you have your cold leads, people who are completely unaware of your brand’s existence, and you want to figure out how to grab their awareness and interest. Once you do, you’ll need to figure out a way to turn them into hot leads by generating a sense of desire. And finally, you’ll capitalize on that desire by asking them to perform a specific action, whether it’s subscribing to your email list or purchasing a product.
One of the most definitive aspects of creative agencies is that they tend to value the visual design of all marketing and advertising collateral over the technical and functional aspects of a campaign. Their expertise and passion often lies in creative design and public relations vs. newer and more technical agency practices like SEO, Digital Marketing, Content Marketing, Social Media, Responsive Website Design, etc.
And so on and so on. The point of this step isn't to come up with your final list of keyword phrases -- you just want to end up with a brain dump of phrases you think potential customers might use to search for content related to that particular topic bucket. We'll narrow the lists down later in the process so you don't have something too unwieldy.

If your goal of hiring a marketing agency is to reach the top of Google through content, they better have their own search results that rank on the first page above the fold in Google’s SERPs (search engine result pages). If your objective is to reach a specific amount of site traffic and leads over time, they must be able to demonstrate they’ve had that similar acceleration of growth. At the end of the day, the marketing agency you hire should be it’s own best success story. You want to work with an agency that is constantly testing their ideas and tactics internally before implementing them for clients.

Score each term on relevance to your business. Go through each row of the spreadsheet and score each search term on how relevant to your business it is in a new column called Relevance. I like to use a 1 to 5 scale, with 5 being the most relevant for my business. For example, I would give the term small business internet marketing a score of 5, while just the term marketing would probably get a 3 score, and the terms lead crystal, lead singer and lead acid should all get scored as a 1. These are all related to the word spelled l-e-a-d, but are not related to the word lead as I mean it, which is as a sales or marketing lead. The way I like to think about this is for the people searching on that term you are scoring, how likely is it that they will convert to a customer when they visit your website. A score of 1 means your business is not relevant to the person searching, a score of 5 means it is the perfect business for them.
Changes in the environment mean that the forecasts often have to be changed. Along with these, the related plans may well also need to be changed. Continuous monitoring of performance, against predetermined targets, represents a most important aspect of this. However, perhaps even more important is the enforced discipline of a regular formal review. Again, as with forecasts, in many cases the best (most realistic) planning cycle will revolve around a quarterly review. Best of all, at least in terms of the quantifiable aspects of the plans, if not the wealth of backing detail, is probably a quarterly rolling review — planning one full year ahead each new quarter. Of course, this does absorb more planning resource; but it also ensures that the plans embody the latest information, and — with attention focused on them so regularly — forces both the plans and their implementation to be realistic.
