Second, the term “firm” is more often used to describe a smaller company that specializes in traditional public relations services, so that “PR firm” is an  accepted term for those types of service providers. As expected from Kristi, great way to utilize keywords in digital marketing. I particularly like the part featuring Social SEO as far too often brands forget that people search by keywords on social media, especially sites like Facebook and Instagram ( Facebook in my opinion is the best search engine that isn't called a search engine ). It would be great to further explore social optimization in posts, not only by using keywords, but link type, search correlation due to images vs video, etc.
Captured thinking: You don't allow your financial people to keep their numbers in their heads. Financial reports are the lifeblood of the numbers side of any business, no matter what size. It should be no different with marketing. Your written document lays out your game plan. If people leave, if new people arrive, if memories falter, if events bring pressure to alter the givens, the information in the written marketing plan stays intact to remind you of what you'd agreed on.

This section could fit into your abbreviated business plan, but I personally like it kept in the marketing plan since the strategy you select will play a very significant role in how you create your marketing messages. Answer: What you will charge for your products/services? Why did you select that price point? What variations will you have on your standard pricing (coupons, discounts, etc.)?

Of course, you'll also want to make sure to check out the history of each term and figure out if it's worth targeting. Some marketers will find a keyword/phrase that isn't consistent, but still cycles back around every so often with an interest spike. The transaction price, or amount customers pay when they buy from you, can dictate your success. For example, if your average customer transaction is $100 but your competitor’s average customer transaction is $150, they will generate more revenues, and probably profits, per customer. One of the first questions we receive is how to  assess how much your digital marketing agency is currently worth. There are many ways to measure the value of a digital marketing agency. The simplest and most widely used variant is profit margins. Numbers vary widely both in averages for a digital-only agency as well as the true calculation. For our purposes, we work off of both a multiplier on EBITDA as well as general Net Profit margin. Generally speaking, agency buyers are looking for companies that boast a profit margin of at least 17% but we’ve seen successful acquisitions for much less profitable agencies that boasted IP value, headcount strength, revenue growth or plain geographic diversification. Regardless of if you’re pursuing M&A, if your agency profits reach or exceed that number, then you’re in great shape. If not, there are ways to improve this but don’t be afraid to determine the other methods of evaluation with us or another acquiring group.
Repeat this exercise for as many topic buckets as you have. And remember, if you're having trouble coming up with relevant search terms, you can always head on over to your employees on the front lines -- like Sales or Services -- and ask them what types of terms their prospects and customers use, or common questions they have. Those are often great starting points for keyword research.
Your mission statement is the foundation of your marketing plan. Although it may not play a direct role in your marketing activities, the mission statement focuses on your business goals and helps you make sure that your marketing activities support the business's overall objectives. It's an effective tool to refer back to whenever you start to question if you are still on the right track.
